Our Story
Restauranteur Kedar Subedi moved from Nepal to India when he was just 14.He has now amassed 27 years of hospitality experience, working in restaurants across the world including Delhi, Dubai, Essex, London, and now Bristol.
Kedar came to Bristol because of the city’s dining culture – and after working as a senior chef for seven years, he opened his first restaurant Rock Salt in 2019.

Indian and Chinese Restaurant, established 2019
RockSalt—Indian and Chinese Restaurant launched in 2019.
Opening just before the pandemic, the restaurant quickly established a great reputation for its takeaway service.Since then, Kedar and his experienced kitchen staff have created a fantastic curated dining experience, with a palate of authentic Indian and Chinese dishes as well as staple Asiatic classics.
RockSalt’s friendly front of house team have a wealth of hospitality experience.
With a long and varied wine and whisky menu, as well as a range of classic cocktails, we offer a dense and textured experience of drinking to match your dining.
Harbour Hub
Tapas Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, established 2022
In 2022 Kedar turned to the harbourside as the location for a summer-based cocktail bar and restaurant. HarbourHub offers beautiful waterside views, a garden built for the sunny summer days or cosy sunsets, and a range of food and drinks.
HarbourHub focuses on smaller tapas dishes, with original cocktails. Its reputation is beginning to snowball as Bristol’s harbourside becomes more popular as a walking, drinking, and dining up-and-coming area. Visit HarbourHub for a drink and some light plates in the sun!
HarbourHub is open from 11:00 until 22:00 everyday.
Golden Crane
Japanese Whisky and Cocktail Bar, established 2023
In keeping with Kedar’s Asiatic hospitality experience, his next project began in 2023. Taking over a basement venue previously owned by local trip-hop group Massive Attack, Kedar now owns Golden Crane.
Golden Crane is a high-end Japanese Whisky Cocktail Bar. It specialises in sophisticated cocktails designed by a team of hospitality staff with decades of experience.
It has a relaxed and down-tempo atmosphere; the team burn incense and play trip-hop in keeping with the history of the building, making sure all of the customers are finely looked after.
Try out our original cocktails from 5 until 12:30 on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 until late on Friday and Saturday.
